We teased you a little bit last week about the upcoming launch of something we consider big and groundbreaking. This Friday May 24th, we will be launching a new site called Amalgamated News. Don’t bother going there now we haven’t taken it live just yet . I’ll put up a link as soon as it does go live. What you might want to do is go to twitter and follow Amalgamated News. That way every time an item is posted on Amalgamated News you’ll get a tweet!
But what is Amalgamated News you ask? It’s an “in-game” website that will bring you all the news of the Twilight Sector. It will be 24/7/365. The Twilight Sector never stops so Amalgamated News coverage of it won’t either. You can count on a minimum of one new item being posted everyday. Everything posted on Amalgamated News will be actual in-game news and information. The news will be the official background chatter of the setting. The advertisements will be for actual businesses or stuff you can buy in the setting. It will be the official home of The Encyclopedia Galactica which will be updated often. We will concentrate n providing you things that you can use in your games both fluff and hard information. Stuff that will keep you and your players connected to the game between sessions. We’ll have text, pictures and audio files with the news of the day and we’ll have links back to this website with suggestions on how to use the in-game information in your games when it’s warranted. We want the site to make your Twilight Sector games vibrant and exciting and to make the GMs life a little easier. Because we really do believe our motto; “Because the Campaigns the Thing”.
